- Plans: "I am going to visit my family next month".
- Arrangements: "I am meeting my manager on Tuesday at 5 pm.
- Predictions based on evidence: "It is cloudy. It is going to rain this evening".
- Predictions based on no evidence: "Arsenal will win the Champions League next year".
- Offerings: You look tired. "I will carry your bags".
- Promises: "I will love you for ever".

Hello

This week
we have learnt modal verbs (can, cannot, could, ought to, to be able to, may,
might, must, mustn’t, should, shouldn’t, have to, had better…) and how to use
them. We have talked about abilities, needs, probabilities, and we have given advice
and asked for permission in both formal and informal ways.
This is a
link for you to revise modal verbs:
Thank you
all for your participation. You did very well in the role plays and every

Week 3 25th November - 1st December 2013
Hello,
class!
And welcome
to the lessons, Selene!
This week
we have revised the “past simple” and “past continuous” tenses and have built
sentences using “while” and “when” to link two past actions (Remember: “I was
having lunch when the telephone rang”, but “I was having lunch while my sister
was reading a book”). We have also learned how to express “likes and dislikes”
and revised and learn new vocabulary on sports and leisure, as well as learned
some phrasal verbs to be used when talking about activities (to take up, to
give up, to join in, to get into, to brush up and show off). The students were encouraged
to express their opinions and feelings by saying why they like or dislike doing
a particular activity.
These are

Week 1 11th - 18th November 2013
Hello!
This first
week we have introduced ourselves. We have also explained the PET exam and its
characteristics, its different parts and duration. Students have filled in a grammar
diagnostic test.
We have
revised the “past simple” tense and based the lesson on past events. We have talked
about ourselves: what we did, what we studied and our past experiences learning English
and other subject matters.
This is a
video for you to revise pronunciation (past simple and past participle):
Enjoy your
weekend!
